Collecting personal data

When you visit Negoisst, personal data is processed. Personal data includes all information that could be used to identify you personally.
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and process it according to GDPR. Your personal data will be treated confidentially according to this data protection declaration and the legal data protection provisions.
This data protection declaration informs you about the type, scope, and purpose of personal data processing within Negoisst simulations.

Participation data
When you participate in a negotiation simulation via Negoisst as part of a university course, it is our legal obligation as part of public interest (Art. 6 (1e) GDPR) to save your negotiation data for the legally required time or transmit it to your home institution for the evaluation of your grade. We receive your data either through Negoisst or the Unipark survey tool. Negotiation data (i.e. email, message, preferences, agenda, utilities, survey data) is used to evaluate your performance in the negotiation.

If you provide your institution's email address, Negoisst will send you notification emails about your negotiations during the simulation. You can configure your notification settings in your Negoisst profile. Your email address is automatically deleted 30 days after the negotiation simulation has ended.

Research data
When you visit Negoisst, the system automatically gathers log data (i.e. navigated pages). We collect and use this data solely in non-personalized form, that is, personal processing does not take place. This data is deleted 10 years after the negotiation simulation has ended.

Technical logs
When you visit Negoisst, the system automatically gathers log data (i.e. navigated pages, inputs). We collect and use this data solely in non-personalized form, that is, personal processing does not take place. It primarily serves security purposes and to ensure an error-free provision of the system; in addition, it is used for statistical analyses. This data is not merged with data from other sources.
This data is deleted automatically 30 days after the negotiation simulation has ended.

You can request download or deletion of your data in your Negoisst profile. You can find the complete data security regulations in the Negoisst imprint (see link in the footer).
Your data is never transferred into countries outside the EU, it is not used for profiling, scoring or automated decision making.
